Activities and working methods in Cavalo Amigo: Therapeutic horse riding programme:Volunteers will receive training on Therapeutic Horse Riding and be asked to assist in the weekly sessions; Environmental educational centre:Cavalo Amigo is developing an Environmental Educational Centre, volunteers will be asked to help in building fences, houses to host animals, etc and manage the biological vegetable-garden, developing fun and creative activities to help raise children awareness on environmental sustainability; Horse riding centre management:Helping Cavalo Amigo's team with the maintenance of the horses and riding centre Holiday camps: 5-10 days holiday camps for children aged between 4-15yrs where volunteers will be asked to participate in the activities (educational games, horseback tours, fun activities with ponies and horses, face painting, gardening); Fundraising campaigns: participation in developing fun and creative fundraising campaigns of local, national and int.levels

We appreciate young volunteers that are: open minded, feeling confident with the objectives of the Host organisations, like animals, are creative, taking initiatives, having a sense of responsibilities, organised and able to adapt to different conditions of living and work, flexible to establish relations with different persons. It’s very interesting when volunteers have special abilities to contribute to the projects, although it’s not necessary to have any special knowledge, education, skills
