The Historisch-Ökologische Bildungsstätte Emsland in Papenburg e. V. (HÖB) is a recognized education center of the state of Lower Saxony, which has over a hundred beds and thus combines "living and learning under one roof". The central goal of the HÖB's educational work is the free development of the personality and participation in shaping society. For this purpose the HÖB offers a varied seminar program. The topics are environmental education and ecological debate, politics/history/economy, organizational development and leadership, young adults, education, body/mind/soul, art/culture/creativity. The seminars are aimed at a broadly diversified target group. As an educational institution, it is important to inspire young people for political education and socio-political interest. This is reflected not only in the educational work, but also in the support of volunteers through appropriate offers.

Accomodation is provided. You will live in your own room in a shared apartment probably. You will be provided with a monthly ticket for local public transport and with the BahnCard25 - this will reduce the ticket prices for most train tickets in Germany by 25%. Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) will be provided.

The volunteers will be engaged in all fields of the organisations. Tasks they perform may include: planning, preparation and implementation of seminars such as seminars on political youth education, seminars for training key competences, family seminars, seminars on environmental education, taking over weekly/weekend services, taking care of the guests, reception work, billing drinks, driving services, preparation of the seminar rooms, media-technical and organizational support of the seminars.
