EVS project in Malo,Veneto,Italy - 10 months (French only)

Location: Malo (15000 inhabitants), a village lying at the foot of the small dolomites, mountains famous all over the world for their beauty that makes them a tourist destination for skiers and hikers. Places that have sadly also been protagonists and witnesses of the First World War. Receiving Organization: l'Orsa Maggiore is a social cooperative that was born and works since 1990 in the field of disabilities. Training and work integration of people with disabilities are the objectives of the cooperative. Since 2013 it manages an apartment for the autonomy and integration of people with disabilities. The project's main goal is to offer people with disabilies the opportunity to experience the housing independence. Role and tasks (in short): the volunteer will provide support to educators in the activites of the group apartment (to develop basic abilities) activities of creative and recreational laboratories and in activities with schools (to promote the culture of acceptance)

Alloggio, vitto e trasporto

FOOD: every month money is given to buy food + lunch available at the community's canteen ACCOMODATION: flat shared with other evs volunteers. Double room bedroom. Facilities included. POCKET MONEY: 120 euro/month WORKING HOURS: 31hours/week DAY OFF: 2 consecutive days/week (usually are weekends, but sometimes during the week). HOLIDAYS: 2 days/month (can be accumulated) + 1 week at Christmas LOCAL TRANSPORT: the organization provides bus tickets to reach the organization in 30 minutes. It provides also a bike. TRAVEL EXPENSES: refunded up to 275 euro (tickets and receipts are needed)

Formazione durante il progetto

In addition to the "On arrival training" and the "Mid-term evaluation" provided by the National Agency for all EVS' volunteers, we provide a "Welcome training" of two weeks where group and individual moments are planned to know some fundamental aspects of EVS, of local culture and of the receiving organization. The volunteer will also attend a language course (80hours, 40 during the welcome training) + online course During the whole experience he/she will also trained in relation to the specific activities carried out in the project (important: we are not talking of professional skills)
