Castle Rieneck is an international education and community centre of the Christian scouts union. Build as a guest house it is able to host groups throughout the year and offers a various educational programs. Visitors are mainly school classes, church-related groups, seminars and conferences, families, youth organizations, associations and scouts groups. It offers accommodation and fare for 134 people at a time as well as a camping ground for up to 100 people. Working at Burg Rieneck will give you a valuable insight into the running of an international seminar centre. Tasks for volunteers may include welcoming the groups at the castle, giving tours of the grounds and supporting the staff with the group activities. Occasionally, volunteers may also be asked to assist in the kitchen, housekeeping or in the janitorial area.

Alloggio, vitto e trasporto

Accomodation will be provided on the grounds of the castle in an extra staff building. You will probably have a single room. All meals will be provided for you. You will be provided with a bicycle from the organisation as well as the BahnCard50 - this will reduce the ticket prices for most train tickets in Germany by 50%.

Tasks, you will perform In the program area: - Working mainly with children and youths who visit the castle -Running workshops on your own -Caretaking of the materials in the program office and lending game and sport articles - Supporting the group leader with planning trips and scouting games Cross-departmental tasks: -Welcoming arriving groups, showing them around the castle and grounds, explaining the rules -Supporting the groups in their questions and wishes -Working in the kiosk, ordering, receiving and selling goods -Inspection of the rooms and the camping grounds

You should... - possess good knowledge of the German and English language - possess a driving license type B - be able to concentrate and remember things well - ideally have experience in working with youths - possess various manual skills - enjoy working with children and youths (playing, talking, do handicrafts)
