European Year of Youth: engagement and participation of young people in shaping EU policies

The Conference will start online with the participation of all. In the first half hour the expert will
analyse the topic that will be selected. In the next half hour, each group of young people, with
the help of the facilitator, will discuss online one of the two topics that will be given to them and
will present their views and suggestions on the questions that will be asked.

Responsible for the management of the group will be the representative of the host organization
and who for the first two minutes will urge the participants to choose their representative, then
will make sure that in the allotted time the views of the participants are recorded and finally will
ensure the time remaining for the submission of proposals.

At the end of this process the groups will gather again in the main panel where for about 45
minutes the representatives of the groups will present the results of their work. Finally, there is a
quarter left for the expert placement and possibly answers to questions that will arise.

Our aim is during the Conference to bring together young people from different EU countries,
and from accession countries, in order to gather a wide range of views and proposals as possible,
related on citizen formation in the European Union. The initial presentation - placement -
briefing will be made by a representative of the European Commission, specialized in this topic,
while the language of the event will be entirely in English. After the initial placement the
participants, representatives of the youth, will be divided into groups that will discuss and will be
placed on two issues:
· Youth: acting locally — affecting Europeanly
· Women: from inequality to equal participation
