Youth Policy Dialogue: How to make Arctic youth participation more inclusive
Commissioner for Fisheries and Oceans, Costas Kadis, and Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport, Glenn Micallef, will hold a joint Youth Policy Dialogue on 'How to make Arctic youth participation more inclusive'.
The Dialogue, taking place during the EU Arctic Forum, Arctic Youth and Indigenous Peoples’ Dialogues in Brussels, will bring together 10 young participants. The Commissioners will get firsthand impressions and feedback on how the EU could best support the inclusive participation of Arctic youth in processes that matters to them, as well as their ideas about what could be done differently in the future.
The discussion takes place in the context of the update of the EU Arctic policy. Contributions will help create the next EU Youth Strategy that is inclusive, forward-thinking, and aligned with the needs and values of the next generation. The participants will also have the opportunity to contribute with insights to the forthcoming Blue Generational Renewal Strategy, a flagship action under the European Ocean Pact.
