The Be Europe show is back!

Zadnja sprememba Petek, 09/09/2022

The summer holidays are over and we're back with a new episode. What is a youth exchange? How is the current acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community? What does it mean to be European for Belgians? Find out everything and much more in the eighth episode of the Be Europe podcast.

"Be yourself and fight for the right to be yourself! I got back from Georgia with much more activism than before. You don't need to be out to protest all the time, there are so many ways to protest, to express that you do not agree with something; but there are people in this world that don't have the ability to fight for the right to be themselves. So if you are confident and able to do so, my advice will be to do it! Please do it, be yourself and fight for the right to be yourself".

Bob Storms is a 20 years old Belgian living in a village right above Antwerp. He just graduated from Multimedia design studies and now he is pursuing his way into the freelance world. Bob defines himself as a digital creative and he mostly does videos and photography for business.

In the show Bob has told us his experience in a youth exchange. He participated in a ten days youth exchange in Georgia called “Follow the rainbow” with people from all around Europe. The actual propose of the exchange was to learn gender sensetive skills and further expend the knowledge about gender issues, human rights, sexual health and the current situation of the LGBTQ+ communit. But this is not all, during the show we also talked about cultural diversity, inclusion and tolerance, among other topics.
