Call for proposals: ambitious cross-border journalism projects for young Europeans

Päivitetty viimeksi Keskiviikko, 20/07/2022

New call for proposals will support the production of news by and for digital natives with an increased budget of €9 million!

The Commission has recently published a call for Proposals to produce daily, thought-provoking and reliable content from across Europe around current affairs, by young independent journalists for their young fellows.

  • Who is eligible? Teams of at least 5 news media and/or youth organisations - with proven experience in news production - from at least 5 EU Member States.
  • What is expected? Covering cross-border topics with diverse points of views with full editorial independence: from climate to migration, gender, culture, mobility, future of work, social issues and much more…
  • Where should the news be spread? Where young people are. This can include websites, social media as well as live events!
  • How long can you procrastinate before submitting the proposal? Up to you! But don’t miss the deadline: 24 October 2022.

The Commission expects to support 3 or 4 ambitious projects, starting in spring 2023.

Many more funding opportunities for news media organisations are currently available with deadlines in autumn; visit this page for an overview.
