EU young translators' contest kicks off – be part of it!
Son güncelleme Pazartesi, 16/09/2024
The Juvenes Translatores translation contest for 17-year-old school students is taking place on 28 November 2024. Registration is open until 14 October. Ask your teacher to register your school, and be a part of this popular EU-wide contest!
Every year, around 3,000 students across the European Union translate a one-page text from and into any of the 24 official EU languages, as part of the Juvenes Translatores contest.
We know from experience that learning languages gives you the communication skills you need for living and working in a linguistically diverse world. In the digital age especially, for the EU to flourish, we need to be able to communicate with, and understand, one another, regardless of our differences.
The Commission's translators will mark the contest entries and select one winner for each of the 27 EU Member States. The winners will be invited to Brussels next spring for an awards ceremony at the Commission's headquarters, with their parents and a teacher.
Impress us with your creative solutions, amaze us with your ingenuity, or make us laugh out loud at your jokes. You might just accidentally fall in love with languages.
So join us in the Juvenes Translatores contest and see where it takes you! Deadline to register is on 14 October.
