Europe listens: The President’s Youth Advisory Board takes off
Seneste opdateret den Onsdag, 16/07/2025
We are excited to announce that the European Commission President’s Youth Advisory Board is now officially in motion!
Following the adoption of the Commission Decision on 25 June 2025, this new initiative puts young people at the heart of EU policymaking.
Born out of President von der Leyen’s Political Guidelines for 2024–2029, the President’s Youth Advisory Board will bring together 28 young representatives, one from each EU Member State’s National Youth Council and one from the European Youth Forum, to advise the Commission on policies relevant to young people. Youth-led organisations from candidate countries and potential candidates for EU accession are invited to join as observers, reflecting the EU’s broader vision of unity and participation.
The Board will allow young people to directly share their ideas and voice their concerns with EU leaders and policymakers, ensuring that their perspectives are genuinely considered. Furthermore, Board members will have the chance to return to their home countries with updates and insights.
This is more than just a policy milestone; it is a clear message to young Europeans that Europe is listening.
