The European Year of Youth is shining a light on the importance of young people in building a better future. It involves all youth, leaving no one behind. The year promotes possibilities and gives a fresh start to disadvantaged young people – providing the best opportunities for all youth, regardless of background.
To discover such opportunities, connect online on 12 May 2022 and get involved in the European Commission event on Good Prospects for Young People.
You will have the opportunity to find out how other young people like you were able to build their skills and found life changing opportunities thanks to the European Youth Guarantee which guarantees that young people that are not in employment, education or training can receive a quality offer within four months after signing up.
The event, which brings together young people and policy makers, will unveil the benefits from the new ALMA initiative.
ALMA (Aim, Learn, Master and Achieve) will be launched in the Autumn and will offer young people from disadvantaged backgrounds the chance of building confidence through a unique work experience in another Member State, matched with coaching and career support.
If you:
- have difficulties finding a job
- are in long-term unemployment
- have had troubles in school, or are having a hard time finding training
- have migrated or come from a migrant background
- live with disabilities
ALMA is set to provide extensive support all the way through the training process – and could be just the sort of experience you’re looking for.
Taking part in the event will help you to find out which are the first countries that will launch ALMA with funding from the European Social Fund Plus. You can also get an idea what ALMA can offer, and what you need to do to get involved. Join the event and ask your questions live.
