Have your say on the EU Civil Society Strategy!

Zadnja sprememba Torek, 01/07/2025

The European Commission has opened a call for evidence and public consultation on a new EU Civil Society Strategy. The strategy will propose a framework for action at EU and Member State level.

The key objectives of this call for evidence and public consultation will be to recognise the crucial role of civil society in our democracies and propose actions to foster a thriving civic space. These actions will aim to strengthen meaningful engagement with and protection and support of civil society organisations working on a broad range of EU policies.

The strategy will focus on:

  • Creating better opportunities for civil society to engage with the European Commission and participate in decision-making
  • Protecting and supporting organisations, in particular those working on democracy, rule of law and human rights
  • Identifying and addressing challenges such as limited funding, online threats, and barriers to cooperation across borders

This is an opportunity for youth groups and youth civil society organisations to contribute with their views highlighting the concrete challenges that they face and identifying possible actions to be taken by the EU and its Member States to address those challenges.

Give feedback on the European Commission’s Have Your Say portal until 5 September. You can answer a survey (open public consultation) or upload your feedback directly on the website.
