Ultima actualizare Vineri, 19/02/2021

The EU Strategy for the Alpine Region is seeking members for the Youth Council.

Did you know that the Alps are home to over 4,500 plants? Or, that their highest peak is the Mont Blanc with an altitude of 4,810 metres? You most certainly do!

However, this unique region has also been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic: specially the sectors of tourism, culture and education. This is why the Alpine regions have united forces in the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) to make the Alpine space resilient and fit for the future.

And, because young people will lead the future, the EUSALP has decided to take you on board as of now. Thus, if you are between 18 and 29 years old and reside in one of the 48 EUSALP regions in Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland or Liechtenstein, you have the chance to shape the future of the Alps.

Get engaged now for the future

The first EUSALP Youth Council will be established in July 2021 when 28 applicants will participate for a year. As a member of the Council you will participate in policy-development and youth activities. You will also propose actions, projects and topics relevant to lead the Alps towards a sustainable future. In addition, you will explore new tools for democratic participation in daily actions.

Ready to have your say on the Alps?

Apply to join the EUSALP Youth Council by 16 May 2021.

Members will be selected randomly to ensure diversity but guaranteeing a balanced composition from different EUSALP regions.

If you have any questions about the application process, please write an e-mail to contact@eusalp-youth.eu
