How much to do YOU know about all your rights as an EU citizen? Learn more about your rights and how to make the most of them with the new Guide to EU citizenship!

EU citizenship is a unique concept. If you are a national of one of the 27 EU Member States, then you are automatically an EU citizen. This status comes with many rights that you can use to shape your life, and benefit your community. This includes the right to travel with just your ID card, move and study in another EU country, but also the right to speak up for what you believe is important.

To make sure everyone can learn how to make best use of their EU citizenship rights, a new Guide to EU citizenship is now available in all languages! 

It has been developed by the European Commission (DG JUST) as part of the Citizenship Package, to help young or new EU citizens to understand what it means to be an EU citizen and encourage active citizenship.
