Zadnja sprememba Sreda, 19/10/2022
Are you interested in the engagement of citizens in science, policy-making, and deliberative democracy in Europe and worldwide? If your answer is yes, this is the perfect event for you.
The 4th edition of the Participation and Deliberative Democracy Festival is an open and free event gathering people from all backgrounds. This year, to coincide with the European Year of Youth, the theme of the Festival is ‘Youth Participation’.
During the festival the Commission looks to bring up the roles that local and indigenous youth plays in traditional knowledge transmission and circulation, with particular focus on science and policy making. The event will also be an opportunity to reflect on space, both virtual and physical, for better participatory and deliberative outcomes with, and for, youth. Finally, to celebrate the Presidency of the Council of the EU, which is Czechia, the Commission hopes to put a spotlight on participatory and deliberative democracy in Czechia.
In order to achieve these, the programme of the festival features a variety of events including open conversations, interactive sessions, artwork, and an exhibition of participatory and/or deliberative democracy projects.
Where does it take place? The event is taking place in Brussels (Belgium), Ispra (Italy), and online from 20 to 21 October 2022.
