Youth For Understanding (YFU) is a volunteer-based global non-profit community driven by the passion of people, consisting of 55+ Member Organizations across six continents.
Since its beginning, YFU have been united by the belief that full cultural immersion is an effective means to gain the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly multicultural, competitive global society.
Over the past 64 years, more than 250,000 participants have completed our international, educational exchange program. YFU understands that studying abroad is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and we want to give you the freedom to tailor your study experience. Within our network, YFU has national organizations located in 55+ countries throughout the world, and each organization has its own set of study abroad programs you may choose from. These range from semester and year exchange programs to those with an internship opportunity.
