Volunteers carry out tasks needed to support the activities undertaken by their host organisation, so they will depend a lot on the ongoing activities of their host organisation. A few examples are: supporting victims of disasters such as refugees or internally displaced people, fighting discriminations, notably against migrants, supporting the WASH (water, sanitation and health) sector, the agri-food sector, the integration of young people with fewer opportunities in the local communities, etc.
