The project's aim is to help the growing community of Ukrainians in Katowice in the integration process, to empower people from both Ukrainian and Polish community and make their voices heard to achieve long-term and sustainable changes in the community that would show them that they can have an impact on their surroundings and be active actors in the public space. The volunteers will: interview people from the Polish and Ukrainian communities, create a community group and organize regular meetings, take care of research and documentation, try to engage the local decision-makers and institutions through negotiation, confrontation to find effective solutions to the problems identified. The activities will take place also in local universities, libraries and youth centres to involve Ukrainians in the Polish community. We'd also like volunteers to work with local children, orphans, seniors, disabled people to encourage their integration in the local community.
