Rõõmutarekese kindergarten is an innovative and modern Kindergarten located in the city center of Tallinn. It has 5 groups (aged 3 to 7), from 1st of October 2019 also 2 groups ( aged 1,5 - 3) on Endla street 17. Our main goal is to give children primary education and prepare them to go to school. We have different activities that include music, art, sports, language skills, maths depending of the schedule. We also have different activities in the evenings like dance, judo, robotics, English classes and even more. There are 2 volunteering positions available. Service will last from September 2025 until August 2026 (12 months). Dates and duration are flexible. Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
Volunteers will stay at the university dorm or shared apartment with other volunteers. There is also possibility to change the accommodation if the dorm solution is not suitable for some reason. Volunteers will receive monthly food and pocket money. All work related transport will be covered by the programme.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
Volunteers will receive work related trainings if it is necessary. All special techniques used with the target group will also be taught to the volunteers if they are interested in learning. Erasmus+ and ESC Agency in Estonia will organize on-arrival and mid-term trainings for volunteers.
Teilnehmerprofil
Volunteer is expected to be polite and caring, they should understand that even if volunteer do not perceive her/himself as such, the children will see them as a role model. Volunteer should be social and ready to communicate with children even without knowing local language in this sense knowing English or Estonian is an asset but not necessarily needed. Still, basic English will be helpful.
