Description
Rõõmutarekese kindergarten has 2 buildings in Endla street and Toom-Kuninga street with over 50 children in ages of 3 – 7. Volunteer will assist teacher in her daily activities with the children. There are 2 volunteering positions available. Service will last from September 2025 until August 2026 (12 months). Dates and duration are flexible. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteers will stay at the university dorm or shared apartment with other volunteers. There is also possibility to change the accommodation if the dorm solution is not suitable for some reason. Volunteers will receive monthly food and pocket money. All work related transport will be covered by the programme.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will receive work related trainings if it is necessary. All special techniques used with the target group will also be taught to the volunteers if they are interested in learning. Erasmus+ and ESC Agency in Estonia will organize on-arrival and mid-term trainings for volunteers.
Participant profile
Volunteer is expected to be polite and caring, they should understand that even if volunteer do not perceive her/himself as such, the children will see them as a role model. Volunteer should be social and ready to communicate with children even without knowing local language in this sense knowing English or Estonian is an asset but not necessarily needed. Still, basic English will be helpful.
