AGAPE CENTRO ECUMENICO, is located in the small village of Prali (Torino) and is a place that arose after the Second World War thanks to volunteers with the aim of creating a place for meeting and exchange. Agape welcomes many people every year and offers a wide variety of activities for children, young people or adults. 17 thematic camps are organised during the summer and winter to deal with many different topics through non-formal education (education, training, gender issues, politics, theology, volunteering, etc). Volunteering is a fundamental element of the history and nowadays life of the centre. The volunteer will be part of the resident group, which is composed of about 8 long term volunteers spending one year (or more) in Agape. The volunteer will help in the practical organisation and management of the work in the centre and will be involved mainly in the working sectors in which the work is devided: kitchen, cleaning, bar, servizio, maintenance, bartending and babysitting.
Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
The volunteer is going to be provided with accommodation and food by Agape Centro Ecumenico. She/he/they will live in the same place where is going to volunteer. The volunteer will live in a house with other international/local volunteers, around 8. They will all have private rooms with shared common spaces such as the kitchen, living room, laundry, etc... The house is equipped with all necessary furniture (also towels and sheets for beds) and wifi connection. Volunteers with valid driving license can use the Center car.
Mokymas veiklos laikotarpiu
The volunteer will attend a training cycle including the on-arrival training, a mid-term seminar and an evaluation seminar offered by Diaconia Valdese. During this seminars he/she/they will have the possibility to meet all the volunteers hosted by Diaconia Valdese. In fact Diaconia Valdese has several project of international volunteering, all over Italy. Furthermore, as foreseen from ESC project, the volunteer will attend the seminars organized from the Italian National Agency.
Dalyvio profilis
We look for 2 volunteers, aged between 18 and 30 year old. The project does not require any special skills, expertise or previous experience. The volunteers have to be motivated, interested in the project, willing to challenge him/her/themself and get out of the comfort zone. The volunteers need to be ready to learn and start a process of change, be enthusiastic and willing to start a great new adventure.
