Volunteering with Talentismo (Astrade)
ASOCIACION CULTURAL EUROACCION MURCIA
Astrade
Murcia, Espanha
Descrição
Volunteer activities will involve 30–38 hours per week. More information about the project can be found at: https://app.smore.com/n/2wm4s-volunteering-with-talentismo. Completing the online application form available there is strongly recommended to take part in the selection process. The volunteer will carry out their activities at our Day Centre in Murcia, where people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) receive comprehensive support aimed at promoting their autonomy, well-being, and social inclusion. Volunteers will assist in the implementation of employment programmes, occupational activities, and basic skills workshops. They will also support users in their daily activities both inside and outside the centre, including swimming, organic gardening, work in the ecological shop, product sales, and daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning, and other practical life skills.
Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte
Volunteers will live in a shared flat in the city centre of Murcia with other volunteers. Each volunteer will have a private room to ensure comfort, privacy, and personal space. The coordinating organisation will cover the rent and utility bills throughout the project. In addition, the project provides food support (€184 per month), pocket money (€186 per month), local transport, medical insurance, and travel costs from the volunteer’s place of residence to Murcia and back, in accordance with the European Solidarity Corps programme rules.
Formação durante a atividade
The volunteer will take part in the On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Evaluation organised by the Spanish National Agency. These activities are a mandatory part of the European Solidarity Corps programme and provide participants with guidance, support, and opportunities for intercultural learning. They also offer a space to reflect on the volunteering experience, exchange experiences with other volunteers, and assess personal and professional development throughout the project.
Perfil do participante
This project is open to young people aged 18–30 who have not previously participated in a European Volunteering Service (EVS) or European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteering project. Priority will be given to young people with fewer opportunities, particularly those facing geographical, economic, and/or educational barriers. Given the profile of the people supported by the organisation, volunteers should be genuinely motivated by the project and demonstrate the maturity, responsibility, and commitment needed to carry out the proposed activities. We are looking for empathetic, open-minded, and proactive individuals who are willing to learn and actively engage in a supportive environment. A strong interest in working with and interacting with people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) will be highly valued. Previous experience is not required, but sensitivity towards inclusion, diversity, and social participation is essential.
