The schedule of volunteer activities will be between 30 and 38 hours per week. You can find information about the project in the this link: https://secure.smore.com/n/2wm4s-volunteer-in-astrade (It includes an online application form that is recommended to complete in order to participate in the selection process). The volunteer will develop the activities of the project in our "Day Center" in the city of Murcia. In this center, users with autism spectrum disorder receive a comprehensive treatment that includes all dimensions of adaptive skills, in order to integrate them into society. The volunteers will support in the development and implementation of employment programs, occupational activities and basic skills workshops, daily activities of the users, inside and outside the center: swimming pool, organic gardening, ecological shop, sales of products, activities of daily living (cleaning, cooking, etc.).
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
The volunteers who participate in our project will live in a flat located in the center of the city of Murcia together with other volunteers. Each volunteer will have his/her own room to guarantee privacy and space. The coordinating organization will pay the rent of the apartment and the bills on a monthly basis. This project covers also the costs of food (€184 per month), pocket money (€186 per month), local transport, a medical insurance and your travel expenses from where you live to Murcia and from Murcia to your place.
Formazione durante l'attività
The volunteer will participate in the On arrival and midterm training (midterm evaluation) organized by the Spanish National Agency.
Profilo del partecipante
This project is aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years old who have not participated in any European volunteering project (EVS or ESC) before. Our association will prioritize the selection of young people with fewer opportunities, young people who face geographic, economic and/or educational barriers. Given the profile of our users, the volunteer must be motivated by our project and must be mature enough to carry out the activities involved. Secondly, ASTRADE strongly appreciates the interest of the participants in doing activities and interacting with people affected by autism.
