IMPACT MAKERS (volunteering Druskininkai Kindergarten "ŽIBUTĖ")

This is a long-term volunteering project offering the opportunity to work with children at Druskininkai Kindergarten Žibutė. The volunteer will engage with children, as well as initiate and organize activities and events. In addition, the volunteer will support teachers in their daily routines, such as accompanying children on walks, assisting during lunchtime, and helping prepare children for rest time. It is essential that the volunteer is genuinely motivated to work with children and demonstrates patience, playfulness, and a positive attitude. The project aims to encourage young people’s participation in the social life of Druskininkai. It also focuses on supporting the volunteer’s personal development by strengthening their skills, knowledge, and competencies, while increasing their future employability and ensuring a meaningful, high-quality volunteering experience.

Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης

Travel expenses will be reimbursed up to the maximum amount set according to the volunteer’s country of origin, based on the European Commission’s distance calculator. The organizer will assure financial support: daily allowance (6 eur) and food allowance (6 eur) per day. The volunteer will receive free health insurance - Henner. The volunteer will share an apartment with another participants. The accommodation is located close to the volunteering venue. Each volunteer will have a private room, while the kitchen and bathroom facilities will be shared.

Κατάρτιση κατά τη δραστηριότητα

Training for the volunteer will be organized by the NA in line with the programme requirements. The volunteer will also be supported in their learning process through the Youthpass framework. In addition, the volunteer will have both a mentor and a tutor, who will assist with daily tasks, provide guidance in their work, and support their smooth integration into the local social environment.

Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος

This community is waiting for a volunteer that will be patient, kind, who loves children, is active, initiative, and self-motivated. Also, able to easily adapt to a new environment. Talents in arts and sports would be an advantage. We support young people’s initiatives and volunteer will be able to organize activities for community by himself with the help of the staff. The volunteer will be encouraged to organize singing, dancing or different sport activities, painting or crafting workshops, DIY projets. Participants from European Union countries will be selected only. Selected candidates will receive an Infopack.
