Y.O.U.T.H. (volunteering Druskininkai Kindergarten "ŽIBUTĖ")

This is a long term volunteering project. The volunteer will have an opportunity to work with children at Druskininkai kindergarten “Žibutė“. A volunteer will be able to communicate with kids, initiate and organize events for the community and the kids. Also, help teachers in their daily tasks (going for walks with kids, assist during the launch time, assist in preparing kids for sleep, and etc..). It is important that a volunteer would be willing to work with kids in the first place and would be patient, playful. We aim to motivate young people‘s participation in Druskininkai community`s social life. We aim to provide volunteer with skills, knowledge and competences for their personal development. To increase opportunities for volunteer's employability in the future and to ensure a heigh quality volunteering experience.

Настаняване, хранене и транспорт

Organizers will reimburse travel costs up to the limit depending on Volunteer's country, according to EU distance Calculator program. Financial support in the form of pocket money (5 Eur per day) and food allowance (5 Eur per day) will be assured by the organizer. The Volunteer will be registered and and receive free medical insurance for ESC program – Henner. At the same period of time a volunteer will share an apartment with another volunteer. The apartment is located near volunteering place. Each volunteer will have an individual room, the kitchen and the bath will be shared.

Обучение по време на дейността

The training and mentoring for a volunteer will be provided by NA according to the program. Volunteer will be as well guided in the learning processes through YouthPass. Volunteer will have a mentor and a tutor, they will assist with daily tasks, work, and smooth integration into the social life.

This community is waiting for a volunteer that will be patient, kind, who loves children, is active, initiative, and self-motivated. Also, able to easily adapt to a new environment. Talents in arts and sports would be an advantage. We support young people’s initiatives and volunteer will be able to organize activities for community by himself with the help of the staff. The volunteer will be encouraged to organize singing, dancing or different sport activities, painting or crafting workshops, DIY projets. Participants from European Union countries will be selected only. Selected candidates will receive an Infopack.
