Description

- Support the functioning of the shared garden (sowing, gardening, cleaning, watering) and the project of greening the building's exteriors. -Raising awareness among the population to an eco-responsible approach while participating in educational workshops about gardening, sustainable development and zero-waste (homemade product making). - Promote European mobility to the young people welcomed at the MJC through meetings, exchange sessions, and sharing advice - Contribute to the establishment of a series of lectures, documentaries, and debates on eco-citizenship issues and promote them to the public (members, users, residents...) - Assist the animation teams during specific times of welcoming young people and families, such as language cafes and themed activities. - Participate in the association's activities (concerts, shows, thematic committees...).

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will work 30 hours per week. 5 days a week with 2 days-off per week. You will be accommodated at "La Maison des volontaires" in Paris or in Persan if we have managed to find a place for you with our partners. You will have a transportation card that will give you an access to local transports in Ile de France.

Training during the activity

1. The first weeks will be devoted to discovering the host structure, the missions of MJC Persan as well as the integration of each volunteer into their new environment and their installation. 2. Training of each volunteer; setting up and accomplishment of missions for the duration of the project (preparation and organization of the different actions, participation in project management). 3. Assessment and preparation for the return of each volunteer; support in their future project; Project evaluation.

Participant profile

-Young people from 18 to 30 who are interested in exploring France and participating in an environmental project. - Interested in the topic of climate change, zero-waste practices, gardening, eco-responsibility, links with young publics and more. - Experience working in the environmental field is appreciated but not required. What is most important to us is personal motivation. - You like to work in a team and have a good understanding of French (B2 level). - Motivation for European projects, international workcamps and an appetite for multiculturalism and interculturality.
