Mignanego Cooperative Society is a no-profit cooperative. It was founded in 1996 by a group of young women. The cooperative is engaged in the field of social work. Its initiatives are aimed at children (especially in the 0-3 year range) and families, people with disabilities, women victims of violence or in situations of hardship and migrants. his cooperative puts the person at the center of its different initiatives, with needs, rights and values in relation to the territory and its specific problems and resources. The primary task of the cooperative is the creation of specific initiatives which could better serve to the needs of users. Volunteer's activities :-Activities with children aged from 3 months to 3 years in the kindergarten -Reading workshops, activities for self-expression and creativity, library activities for small children and families (online or, when possible, at the library) -Supporting the communication of the cooperative -Organizing events for the community.
Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
The volunteer will live in Genova in a shared apartment with double/triple rooms. 5 euros per day of pocket money and food or a food allowance will be provided. The travel expenses will be reimbursed on the basis defined by the European Commission.
Mokymas veiklos laikotarpiu
The volunteer will participate in the training opportunities offered by the Italian National Agency (On Arrival Training, Mid Term Evaluation, and Final Evaluation). In addition, they will also take part in the training opportunities organized by association P.E.CO., together with the other volunteers involved in the activities of other Hosting Organizations in Genoa. They will also receive specific training in the Hosting Organization related to the target group they will work with.
Dalyvio profilis
Available for the WHOLE duration of the project :September 2023-February 2024. The ideal volunteer is flexible, helpful, interested in social issues, eager to learn and available to do activities with small children, but also on social networks. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, with good listening ability, willing to work in team. The volunteer has to be highly motivated to take part in this project.
