Description
The Youth regional information center of Normandy provides a free information service to young people on a wide range of subjects (careers, rights, leisure...). The European volunteer will be part of the Europe Direct Unit in charge of European and international matters, the European Union, its specific working, its policies, with a priority given to the Erasmus+ programme and international mobility opportunities for young people. You will : - Dissemination of the EUROPE DIRECT activities - Create articles and post for the website and Social Network - School visits (management of activities with pupils, or participation as a concrete example for European mobility describing to young people his/her mobility experience). - Events organization - Creation of non-formal education tools Please, check the InfoPack here https://canva.link/tdb5uzwwhcx6mfb
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The association is located in the city Centre of Caen in Normandy (FRANCE), which guarantees an easy access to all shops, public services and transport. No food is directly provided by the organization, but the volunteer will receive monthly a financial help. The volunteer will stay in a student residence in the University campus. The volunteer will be able to use the public transport and to enjoy the proximity of all services. A bus pass for the whole volunteering period will be provided.
Training during the activity
Support: 1 tutor and 1 external mentor The 2 compulsory ESC training (on-arrival and mid-term)
Participant profile
You like to create posts and reels on social networks and to work on Canva. You are comfortable with office work (Word, Excel, Outlook). You are interested in European citizenship and democratic participation. You are comfortable with public speaking. You are able to create a connection and dialogue with young people. You like to create and animate workshops. You are open to build up your autonomy and to experiment local life. Being able to speak and understand French is a plus!
