Description
This volunteering mobility takes place in FAE Foundation's office in the beautiful city of Wroclaw, Poland. The volunteer will be responsible for supporting activities of the foundation focused on international cooperation and multiculturalism. Volunteering work hours are 30 hours per week in host.org. + 5 extra hours per week to plan activities for local events to promote the ESC and the project. The volunteer's tasks will involve researching and maintaining contact with specific artistic groups, coordinating elements of festivals and workshops, creating and updating documents for project, creating promo materials. We are open to hosting participants with fewer opportunities ❤ (disabilities, economic, geographical and cultural obstacles). Volunteers need to provide a clean criminal record. Konaklama, yemek ve yol ayarlamaları
The volunteer will be accommodated in a double room in a flat shared with other volunteers (about 5 people in one flat). The kitchen and bathroom are shared with flatmates. Flats have internet access, basic kitchen equipment, clean towels and bedding sets. Monthly allowance: pocket money (150 EUR) + food money (650 PLN) + local transportation card for buses and trams. Required medical tests in Poland are covered by the project. Travel costs to Wroclaw and back are reimbursed based on the distance calculator provided by the ESC program.
Training during the activity
Polish classes are provided twice a week and are included in the volunteering hours. During the first week, the volunteer will take part in training with a project coordinator to learn about volunteering work and flat rules, safety rules, EU health insurance and complimentary insurance, receive a basic useful Polish language vocabulary book, and participate in fun team-building activities. Within the first 2 months in the project, the volunteer will take part in an On-Arrival training in Warsaw and in Mid-Term training in Toruń in the middle of the project.
Participant profile
We are seeking a highly organized and self-reliant volunteer with strong managerial and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in art or audiovisuals, or a strong interest in these fields, as this will be a significant asset to the role. We value creativity, initiative, and the ability to work independently. The volunteer should be fluent in English, motivated, and ready to spend time abroad. An openness to learning new skills, embracing new cultures, and acquiring basic Polish is essential. A friendly and reliable attitude, coupled with a clean criminal record, is required.
