For more information please read our info package by clicking "volunteering" on the footer of our website avno.org. - Technical group: Using or developing skills in regards to maintenance of large buildings and IT. - Land Group: Using or developing skills in regards to gardening, yard work & permaculture. - Hosting group: Creating an environment where people feel welcome. Developing your organizational skills. - Promotion: Contributing to promotion, SoMe, website, article writing, creation of flyers etc. - Kitchen: Kitchen activities & developing skills as a holistic green chef. - Education: Teaching related subjects & developing skills in coordinating students and courses. - Administration: Developing skills needed to manage a large enterprise. - Events: Learning how to run larger events and/or create funding for them.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
As a volunteer you receive free room and 3 daily meals. Your room is equipped with your own bath/toilet and kitchenette in the hallway. You will live in an aspiring eco-village together with residents, teachers and students of the courses. Car service is available to the local train station.
Training during the activity
You will be able to join most sessions in some of our ongoing courses offered by Avno Hojskole (Adult Learning Center) in your free time. As a volunteer you will have a buddy, who helps you transition into the community and one or more working group mentors who supports you in regards to the work and your general well-being. Participant profile
We are looking for volunteers interested in the eco-village experience, that have talents within the field of health and well-being. Currently, we are prioritizing volunteers who want to be part of our Hosting, Land or Technical groups and who might already have some experience in these areas.
