Avnø Oasis Volunteering Opportunities

Vitalitetsfonden

Lundby, Dinamarca

Descrição

Avnø Oasis is for people who want to actively practice a new paradigm of living - rooted in responsibility, regeneration, and collaboration. It suits self-motivated individuals who value personal growth, health, shared purpose, and meaningful contribution over comfort and convenience. Avnø is a living project that grows & changes with the people involved. Volunteering at Avnø requires commitment, a variety of skills, practical work, and communal involvement, good English skills, long-term commitment, and offers rich possibilities for development of personal, practical, organizational, social, and communal skills. Your days in Avnø Oasis may be filled with a variety of activities. You will be invited to participate in a working group along with taking part in daily routine jobs. Within your working group, you will be invited to take responsibility for smaller or larger tasks and/or areas according to your experience, skills, and interests.

Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte

You will be part of an aspiring eco-village of residents, teachers, guests and students, where we all aim to participate in essential community building activities. Your room has a private bathroom. The community kitchen serves 3 daily meals made of organic whole grains, beans, seeds & local vegetables and smaller amounts of fermented foods, fruits, nuts, seaweeds, fish, shrimp, and eggs. Vegan is an option. Car service is available. Living in a community can be socially demanding, but it also provides opportunities for personal growth, healing, and deep connections with other people.

Formação durante a atividade

You will be received by your buddy. Your first weeks are considered a landing phase. During this phase you observe, learn, and do basic tasks. Bigger responsibilities come after grounding. The volunteer mentor will support you in finding your right place with the right amount of responsibilities and is available for support during your stay. During long stays the national agency will invite you for on-arrival and midterm training. You will be able to join most sessions in our ongoing courses in your free time. Avnø Højskole (Residential Learning Center) is a central part of our ecovillage.
