ESC 4 European Youth Goals - Teams Volunteering

In the 4th edition of the ESC 4 EYG. the volunteers will collaborate in the creation and development of educational and interactive games for the Check-IN European Centre, in Beja, Portugal. They will design and produce different types of games, such as board games, quizzes, and non-formal education activities, aimed at promoting learning, creativity, and awareness of European topics. Volunteers will also organise and facilitate game sessions and workshops at the Check-IN European Centre and within the local community, engaging young people, adults, and seniors. Through these activities, they will foster intercultural dialogue, active participation, and community engagement while developing their own creative, organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.

Διαμονή, διατροφή και έξοδα μετακίνησης

Volunteers will stay for one month in a Studennt Residence in Beja city centre, close to essential facilities. They will share the accommodation with other volunteers and students. Rooms are shared by 3 to 6 participants and include beds, bed linen, blankets, and individual lockers. Accommodation and bathrooms are separated by gender, with male and female participants staying on different floors. Breakfast and dinner are provided on weekly days. The residence also offers a common room for leisure and social activities. Smoking and alcohol consumption are not permitted inside the facilities.

At the start of the project, volunteers will participate in an on arrival Training covering the project objectives, tasks, responsibilities, and practical arrangements. Throughout the activity, they will receive continuous guidance and support from the coordinating team, helping them adapt to the local environment, understand their role, and make the most of their volunteering experience while developing new skills and competences.

Προφίλ συμμετέχοντος

We are looking for motivated and open-minded young people who are interested in working with youth and participating in creative and educational activities. Participants should be willing to collaborate in a team, share ideas, and actively contribute to the development of games and activities for the local community. No specific experience is required, but an interest in creativity, education, intercultural exchange, and non-formal learning is important. Volunteers should be proactive, responsible, and open to meeting new people and experiencing a different culture. Basic communication skills in English are recommended in order to collaborate with other volunteers and local participants. Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a positive attitude are highly valued.
