Are you interested in sustainability and social change? And are you open-minded enough to review your habits and lifestyles and immerse yourself in the eco-social transition we are undergoing? The hosting organization links the relationship between humans and nature in a sustainable and inclusive way. They do this through various activities, projects, programmes and short, medium, or long-term actions. You'll have the opportunity to live in the community of Ourense and learn more about it, work with a socio-environmental association with a variety of great projects and learn more about yourself through the experiences you'll have. Your mission will be to create a positive impact in the city of Ourense and the surrounding area. Depending on your knowledge and experience you can participate in different areas: environmental and social activities with kids and adults; awareness and activist campaigns; manteinance of Permaculture Garden or graphic design and support with data base.
Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
You will be living in a shared flat for volunteers close to the University. The flat is equipped with 4 private rooms, 1 shower, 2 toilets, 1 shared and equipped kitchen, 2 shared living rooms. Your travel expenses from Italy to Spain will be reimbursed (within the limits set by the European Union). You will receive a pocket money (150€ per month) and a food allowance (150€ per month). You’ll be also covered by the insurance agreed with the European Solidarity Corps, protecting you from any risk.
Mokymas veiklos laikotarpiu
You will attend a pre-departure training before leaving Italy and on-arrival and mid-term trainings provided by the Spanish National Agency. You’ll be offered Spanish language classes. You'll gain more tools for living more sustainably with nature and people. You will be supported by a task-related tutor: he/she will help you to get part in the daily life of the hosting organization through regular meetings.
Dalyvio profilis
If you have a lot of motivation to challenge yourself, and an infinite respect and tolerance to the different people with whom you will coexist, you are very welcomed. You must be ready to take some initiative over time to contribute to the different activities and have a high motivation to learn. You should already speak basic Spanish or understand it and would be great if you have the driving licence (it is not compulsory).
