Stadtjugendring Stuttgart (SJR) is a non-governmental democratically organized umbrella organization of youth organizations in Stuttgart. As a volunteer, you will get an idea of promoting youth participation in local and international youth work. Your workplace will be in the office. There will be practical tasks as well as administrative in the daily work e.g. mail in- and outbox, documentation, shopping for our projects, seminars or meetings, and contact with visitors. We expect you to support and contribute with your ideas and talents in the organization/implementation of workshops/seminars, international youth exchanges, and out- and indoor events (e.g. children festivity. …) or self-organized small projects. A particular focus this year will be the commitment to sports activities with children, which will take place once a week. You want to learn more about youth participation? Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
The volunteer will stay in a fully equipped single room with a personal sink, fridge, and free WiFi access in a youth residence in the city center of Stuttgart. A shared kitchen and showers/WC are on the floor. Further facilities include a laundry. You will receive a monthly payment for food plus pocket money and a public transport card, allowing you to travel not only to the workplace but also during your leisure time.

- On-Arrival Training and Mid-Term Meeting, organized by the German National Agency. - Workshops/Training courses organized by Stadtjugendring - A yearly youth leadership training aiming to acquire competencies for assistance in projects within our member organizations - Mentorship sessions throughout the project - An intensive German language course during the first 3 months of the voluntary service.
