Aprašymas
The actions of the Adcor Foundation are directly aimed at people over 16 years of age with mental disabilities or multiple disabilities. Also to their relatives or guardians and to those who are related or live with these people. The Foundation has a residence for the elderly and people with disabilities, two occupational centers, a day center and sheltered flats for people with intellectual disabilities. It also carries out counseling and information activities for families as well as leisure activities. The volunteer will be involved in different activities for people with disabilities: art therapy, music therapy, gym, swimming pool, library, excursions, theater, sewing, painting, cooking, personal develop activities, crafts, etc. https://www.adcor.org/atencion-discapacidad/
Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
The volunteer will live in a shared flat with other volunteers. The apartment is fully furnished, it has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen and balcony. In the neighbourhood there is a park, beach and all services (supermarkets, bus stop, bank, pharmacy, bars, etc.). It is 15 minutes by bus from the city center. He/she will have food and transport covered.
Mokymas veiklos laikotarpiu
The volunteer will take part in two trainings (on-arrival and mid-term training) organized by the National Agency.
Dalyvio profilis
We are looking for a volunteer with interest and sensitivity towards people with disabilities, who has initiative,creativity, empathy, motivation. It's preferable to have a basic level of Spanish.
