Médicos del Mundo Spain has been present in the Mesoamerican region for more than 25 years, working with different development and humanitarian aid projects, which have evolved according to the health needs and the humanitarian context in the region. The volunteer will be under the responsibility of the Country Coordination of MdM Spain in Honduras, but will have a regional scope insofar as he/she supports the design and elaboration of regional proposals. He/she will be responsible for resource mobilisation and the design of new projects, as well as the drafting and preparation of full proposals for submission to donors. In addition, he/she will directly support the Country Coordination in the preparation of reports and background papers. His/her tasks will be: -Support in the search for national and international calls for proposals for the country; -Analyse calls for proposals; -Collectively draft letters of intent, concept notes and proposals, as well as complete donor forms.
Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
Volunteer headquarters will be in Tegucigalpa. The volunteer will be accommodated in one of the houses of MdM or its counterparts and will receive a monthly allowance to cover his/her food expenses of 681,82 €. Accommodation; return flights; visa and vaccination costs; health insurance; and basic equipment (laptops & telephone) will be provided and covered during deployment. Transportation and accommodation will also be provided and covered for all work-related travel.
Mokymas veiklos laikotarpiu
The volunteer will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about the situations of migration and forced displacement and sexual and reproductive rights, the situation of violence against women, children and adolescents in Honduras and the Mesoamerican Region through the development and humanitarian aid projects that we are carrying out. He/she will work at the national level, receiving permanent and systematic feedback from the MdM Honduras Country Coordinator and the teams for the realization of their work, which allows a direct connection with the projects and the field of work.
Dalyvio profilis
-Professional with a degree in social sciences or a related field -Proficiency in computer packages for data processing and information analysis -Previous experience in resource mobilisation -Studies in international cooperation, development and related subjects -Previous experience in development cooperation projects -Ability to synthesise and analyse -Good writing skills -Numeracy skills -Knowledge of the Latin American context, especially the countries that make up the Northern Triangle (Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras) -Experience in the analysis and synthesis of information.
