Beschreibung
The volunteer will be welcomed in "Les Genêts d'or", an NGO supporting disabled people. The centre supports 13 adults aged between 20 and 56. These adults live with their families and come to the centre to work on their independence in daily life (learning to do things on their own) The day centre offers activities as tools for educational learning. It also provides social interaction, openness to the world and a sense of community. The main tasks of the volunteer will be to support the educators in various activities : - Caring for the goats (feeding them, cleaning the water troughs, etc.) - Adapted physical activities (going out, swimming, simple ball games, etc.) - Preparing meals or baking - Leisure activities: board games, craft activities (decorating, painting, etc.) - Outdoor activities - Everyday life : mealtimes, helping with shoelaces, assisting at the swimming pool, etc. Send us an email if you want more infos about the project.
Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten
You'll share a house with 6 volunteers other ESC in the heart of Quimper - 65 000 inhabitants - 25km from the sea. Each volunteer will have his-her own bedroom. Bus tickets will be provided to you for your daily travels from home to work.
Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit
The volunteer will be welcomed at the same time as 5 other volunteers in total (who are carrying out their missions in other host organisations). On arrival, a seminar will be held between Gwennili and the group of 6 volunteers. The volunteer will also take part in the usual ESC training (Arrival and Mid-term national seminar).
