The volunteer will be welcomed in "Les Genêts d'or", an NGO supporting disabled people. The Unit of Elderly Disabled people accomodates 16 adults from 64 to 82 years old. The main tasks of the volunteer will be to support the educators in various activities : - Everyday life (meals, cooking, helping the residents to clean his.her room, go to facebook, cook some recipes) - Leisure activities (board games, DIY, artistic activities, reading, photography) - Social activities (shopping, going to the cinema, bowling) - Sport activities (walking, swimming, aqua gym, pétanque) - Cooking specialities from your own country Send us an email if you want more infos about the project.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
You'll share a house with 5 other ESC in the heart of Quimper - 65 000 inhabitants - 25km from the sea. Each volunteer will have his-her own bedroom. Bus tickets will be provided to you for your daily travels from home to work. You will receive 180 euros per month for food, you'll be able to eat lunch in your hosting organisation. You'll also get 240 euros for pocket money. We will open a bank account when you'll arrive.
Wat leer je?
The volunteer will be welcomed at the same time as 6 other volunteers in total (who are carrying out their missions in other organisations). On arrival, a seminar will be held between Gwennili and the group of 7 volunteers. The volunteer will also take part in the usual ESC training (Arrival and Mid-term national seminar).
