The "Kulturlabor Stromboli" ( www.stromboli.at) is a cultural institution in Hall in Tirol, a small town in the heart of the Alps. The centre was first established in 1989 with the aim of creating a venue for a needed cultural revival of the area. Nowadays it hosts over 100 events throughout the year, combining a wide variety of arts and styles, including concerts, cabarets, theatre plays, literature readings, open air events, discussion groups, exhibitions, parties and a weekly basis children´s program. The bar also brings a constant influx of people to Stromboli, keeping the centre alive four days of the week. Innovating and trying new ideas is the motto of the organisation, enablingendless possibilities and new cultural adventures. Cazare, hrană și transport
Your accommodation will be in Hall directly, which is five minutes away from your working place "Stromboli". It is a fully equipped apartment (bathroom included) where a washing maschine, towels, linen and cleaning products are offerd. Your neighbours will be other volunteers who are joing a different program. It is important to commit to the security rules of the accommodation. The next bigger city is Innsbruck, which is twenty minutes away by bus -travel tickets are provided. Also provided are costs for groceries and personal needs (7 Euros pocket money daily).
Formare pe durata activității
You will cooperate closely with the organizing team. The tasks include building up the venue for concerts and theatres, cleaning and preparing backstage for the artists, helping at office work, like social media or general administrative tasks, recording events, support the bar, also workshops and events of Stromboli. It is important to us to create space for team interaction and ideas for future projects. Support is always given. Conditions: The working mode is about 35 hours peer week (full time). Working times will be on weekends too, 24 days of holidays in general plus public holidays.
Profilul participantului
Of course we woul like you to be interested in people and culture. Skills which are important: communication and organizational skills, flexibility, interest in learning german and to get to know our different working fields. You should be able to work in a team but also on your own and to commit yourself for this project for 10 month straight. Own creative ideas about projects, social media configuration or other things are always welcome. Previous skills are not needed except the motivation for new experiences.
