Description
Hors Pistes hosts each year around 30 volunteers in the region of Marseille. The Lycée les Alpilles is a professional high school in the small town of Miramas, about an hour outside of Marseille. The volunteer will help the italian language teachers in classes, sports classes, support for cultural projects and school trips, promote volunteering and youth mobility, facilitate educational and recreational workshops. It's also possible to help in classes with students who have recently arrived in France (classe UPE2A) and participate in initiatives like "the open school" (école ouverte) and "Maison de Lycéens), as well as do some tutoring and helping students with homework. The tasks may vary from period to period, depending on current projects and skills.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
30 hours per week. From monday until friday. Holidays must be taken during the school holidays. 496,93 euros per month Zou card to travel in the region by train and bus with a 90% discount. Housed in a studio within school grounds.
Training during the activity
Volunteers will benefit from workshops led by Hors Pistes, with other international volunteers. Volunteers will also receive a first aid training.
