A creative youth work placement in Mullingar Youth project with set objectives to give the learner skills and experiences in a range of creative media spaces Digital Media - Website analysis and iteration - digital documentaries of youth work practice including a community group through sport - social media campaigns - education for young people on healthy digital lives and activities Administration, job shadowing and team support Mentor Meetings and cross project volunteer peer groups.

Open to residents in Ireland, working language is English Own transport essential but allowance for support considered Food Allowance and Pocket Money will be given Light Meals available in project

Pre Departure Preparation with Solidarity Academy Mentor - Midlands Digital Badges - Recognition for Learning - opportunity to learn how to issue / develop badges for volunteer placement. On Arrival Training with Léargas National Agency - Dublin Mid way Development Day with full Volunteer Team, Mentors and relevant accompanying persons Follow up Reflection / Evaluation

Young person aged 18 - 30 years Open minded, flexible and available for 30 hours per week in project and 5 hours per week home learning / reflection Skills required include intermediate level IT proficiency or high level Phone / media proficiency Good communication skills / organisation skills (such as project managment or team leader experience) Interests in mixed media, creative arts, photography, content creation and website design and development all highly desired Motivated to learn and committed to try A fun attitude with an open heart / mindset is essential
