The Munasim Kullakita Foundation (Quierete Hermanita), based in the department of La Paz, Bolivia, is an organisation with 15 years of experience in the care of very vulnerable children and adolescents. The focus of the position will be on the community treatment programme, which works with children and adolescents in street situation. The volunteers will give social support in family integration processes, as well as in the process of school integration for children and adolescent living in the street; will go on the field to establish contact with children and adolescents in street situation; will give training and educational workshops for children and adolescent in street situation; will give basic assistance and coordination with health centres for access to care; and will give support for the project’s data systematisation processes.
Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
Housing: Volunteers will live in the city of La Paz, in the area of Sopocachi, av. arce and/or av. 6 de agosto, considered one of the safest areas of the city of La Paz, due to the fact that it is surrounded by shopping centers, hospitals and police. Shared appartement with private room. Transportation: The Sopocachi area of the city of La Paz has public transportation 24 hours a day and is located 35 minutes from the offices of the Munasim Kullakita Foundation, the means of transportation is via land (buses or mini buses) and via area (cable cars). Food: a variety of products is available
Mokymas veiklos laikotarpiu
The volunteer will undergo a month of local training on the approach to migrant population and victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation, such as the implementation of the community treatment model. Within the framework of the program, he/she will be able to improve his/her Spanish (if necessary) or learn local language, participate in a course on Bolivian culture. Moreover, he/she will participate in all the training processes to which the foundation is invited, both in children's and adolescents' rights and in different approach methodologies.
Dalyvio profilis
Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. Studies on psychology or social assistance are well seen, as well as experience working with victims of human trafficking, sexual exploitation and/or migrants. A working level of Spanish is mandatory. Studies: Complementary studies linked to the rights of children and adolescents. Skills: Teamwork Management of office and other social interaction apps Language: Speak and write in Spanish.
