JUNAK - CESKY SKAUT KAPRALUV MLYN ZS

Ochoz u Brna, Czechia

Descrição

Kaprálův mlýn is a scout environmental education centre located in the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area in the Czech Republic. Volunteering with us offers a wide range of activities and opportunities. Volunteers help with the daily operation of the centre as an accommodation facility, including running the shop and reception, and in summer also maintaining the campsite. They can assist with educational programmes such as technical and historical tours of the mill, caving or abseiling, take part in outdoor work like environmental projects or gardening, and join educational activities including a Czech language course, workshops, trips and excursions. There is also space for volunteers to develop their own personal project. We are mainly looking for long-term volunteers for 4–12 months, but other arrangements are possible. More information can be found at https://www.kapraluvmlyn.cz/eng/volunteering or via email at VOLUNTEER@KAPRALUVMLYN.CZ

Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte

Volunteers at Kaprálův mlýn live in a self-contained house for volunteers only. This two-storey house stands on a site with a beautiful view only 50 m away from the main centre building. The house offers all the possibilities of a full and comfortable life - fully equipped kitchen, living room with projector for movie nights, terrace... You can either arrange your own meals or use our excellent kitchen, which cooks typical Czech food 3 times a day almost every day of the week. You will have a permanent public transport ticket, that you can use to explore the area.

Formação durante a atividade

You are expected to participate in three main ESC trainings. The first should be held by your sending organization before departure from your country. The second and the third ones are organized by Czech National Agency in Czech Republic. It is usually 4 - 6 days full of fun, where you meet a lot of new friends - foreign volunteers from other Czech workplaces.

Perfil do participante

We are looking for volunteers with a love of nature, outdoor activities and a positive attitude towards environmental issues. We need you to speak English (communicative level). We don't require any additional knowledge, we will teach you everything. However, if you have an idea or a hobby that you would like to contribute to the development of the education centre, all the better, but it is not an obligation.
