Communication Assistant at Alianza Bolivia

Alianza por la Solidaridad, a member of ActionAid, aims to achieve an active citizenship that fights against inequalities and for the recognition of human rights. It carries out development cooperation and education projects to eradicate gender-based violence, migrants' rights and for climate justice. Join us at our office in Bolivia! You will learn about the communication processes in a social organization, feminist leadership, campaigns with a gender approach for social transformation with the help of audiovisual producers and journalists. You will write press articles, monitor social networks, support project activities through social media, coordinate the design of audiovisual and printed materials and take part in the implementation of the organization's communication strategy. You will discover how to include vulnerable populations in communication materials. If you are a migrant, live in rural areas, have limited economic support or other, don't hesitate to apply!

Cazare, hrană și transport

You'll live with other people but in an individual bedroom. The accommodation costs, utility bills and phone card will be covered by the organization. The house will be located close to the office. You will receive a monthly allowance of 639,63€ for your personal expenses including food (topic specified in the interview). For the activities of Alianza, a vehicle will be provided. You will also be covered with health insurance (Henner). During this experience, the volunteer will be based in the town of La Paz where the office is located. You may be deployed if needed for brief missions.

Formare pe durata activității

You will support the team’s communicator in the communication activities of the projects and in the office, especially in the review of communication products, preparation of communication notes, follow-up of campaigns, development of actions to position the institutional image, coordination with external consultants, as well as in the management of social media. You will also contribute to the administrative tasks related to your position.

Profilul participantului

We are looking for someone motivated and enthusiastic, preferably someone who has experience in the field related to the position. The following skills will be positively valued: good writing skills, sensitivity and facility to apply a gender perspective, ability to work in teams and to adapt to the country’s context, as well as to different work environments. It will also be positively valued to have a good command of Microsoft office, and programmes of design and audiovisual production, as well as social media. A good command of English will be a plus. To cover this position, the person will need to be available for a duration of 9 months.
