The Voluntary activity will support a summer school for children that live in “La Paz” neighbourhood from Granada, where there is a risk of social exclusion. The ages of the children are between 5 to 19 years old and the activity is for approximately 70 children. On a normal day of the summer school the volunteers support with breakfast, homeworks, different leisure time activities like workshops, games or going to the swimming pool and also lunch. There are 4 different groups of children split by ages and the volunteers will be split in those groups. The voluntary service will be done from Mondays to Fridays The normal timetable is from 9:30 to 15:00 except The excursion days on Fridays that is from 9:30 to 18:00. It could happen that some days the volunteers have to prepare an activity after lunch and will stay longer (but not more than 16:30) Weekends will be days off.
Cazare, hrană și transport
The accommodation is a flat with 3 rooms so the volunteers will share the room with people with the same gender (2 per room) , the accommodation has all the facilities for cooking, a common living room and a common bathroom. Laundry facilities will be also provided. The volunteers will receive 6€ per day (96€) for the pocket money, the project will cover the breakfast and the lunch during the activity days, the volunteers will receive 60€ extra in total, for the dinner and the weekend meals that should be prepared by themselves. The bus for develop the activities will be covered.

The ideal profile would be "monitor for summer camps /leisure activities". Another requirement is to speak English and it would be ideal to have some knowledge of basic Spanish . If you are finally selected you need to bring a “criminal sexual record” document that says that the volunteer has no sexual criminal record this is an obligation for working with children in Spain. and without this document we can not host any volunteer. The project will host 5 international volunteers and 2 locals (From Granada that doesn´t need accommodation) with less opportunities. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 30 years old and reside in one of the eligible countries. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
