Naturland is the largest international association for organic agriculture. With over 120,000 farmers, beekeepers, and fish farmers in 61 countries, we stand for the fact that ecological, social, and fair management is a successful project worldwide. We are looking for a Volunteer to support the Naturland Academy, the capacity building hub of Naturland for its international members worldwide. Your tasks: • Support the creation of learning materials (videos, fact sheets, manuals, e-learning courses) that will be uploaded on our platform www.academy.naturland.org by doing picture research, editing, layouting and coordinating translations for our training programs all over the world • Support the creation of a network of trainers and technical experts worldwide with community building activities. • Support the organization of online seminars and exchanges. • Support our international communication in many ways, including content creation, proofreading and editing
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Single room in a youth residence in Munich. The kitchen and bath is shared with 10 people (mixed gender). The residence has an own garden, diverse facilities and common rooms available. Naturland will provide a free public transport ticket, as well as ca. 400€ monthly for food and other expenses (usual ESC volunteering conditions). The duration of the volunteering opportunity is anticipated to be 10-12 months subject to availability of the accommodation.
Training during the activity
We give you the opportunity to: - Learn more about organic agriculture, sustainable food production, fair trade issues, quality assurance in complex international value chains and their influence on the environment - Work in an intercultural and cross-continent context - Participate to events for organic farming (for example Biofach, the biggest organic trade fair worldwide) - Experience a democratic ruled international organization - Acquire competences in digital education system and communication - Contribute to shape the Naturland Academy with your creative talent and ideas
Participant profile
• You are 18 to 27 years old. • You have a nationality and a residency in a country eligible to the European Solidarity Corps Program • You are interested in sustainable and organic agriculture • You have a sound knowledge of English. (Spanish and/or Italian and German will be an advantage but not a requirement) • You are a creative person and have experience (or want to learn) with authoring tools like InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator.
