Fundación INTRAS is a no-profit organization working in the field of mental health since 1994. Its main goal is to foster the recovery and improve the quality of life of people living with mental health issues. In Zamora, INTRAS runs a sociocultural centre that propose inclusive activities open to the entire community with the aim to create a space for participation, respect and understanding of diversity for all citizens. Here, the volunteer will carry out the following tasks: - Support the design and implementation of different activities and workshops (based on arts and culture, new technologies, etc.); - Participate in and propose activities based on sport, physical activity and movement with the purpose to promote an active life style.
Apgyvendinimas, maitinimas ir transportas
The volunteer will have a private room in a shared flat. He/she will receive a monthly allowance for food and a pocket money for personal expenses. In case to need local transport to reach the venue of the activities, the volunteer will be provided with a bus card which will be periodically recharged by the hosting organization.
Mokymas veiklos laikotarpiu
The volunteer will have the chance to participate in some of the training activities provided in the framework of projects in which the organization is involved. In addition, he/she will participate in a pre-departure training provided by the supporting organization and an on-arrival training + mid-term evaluation session organized by the Spanish National Agency. The volunteer will have access to an online Spanish course through the EU Academy.
Dalyvio profilis
The ideal candidate for the position should have: - High motivation and willingness to work with people with mental health issues or facing other challenges that make them at risk of social exclusion (people with disability, older people, etc.) ; - The volunteer should be open-minded, patient, dynamic and creative; - Interest/experience in arts and/or sports will be positively valued. - Basic knowledge of Spanish will be positively valued.
