🌍 “BEYOND Horizons” is a 2-month ESC volunteering project in Craiova, Romania, focused on personal growth, inclusion, and sustainability. 🌱 Volunteers will take part in gardening and planting activities to create a therapeutic sensory space for children, organize creative and educational workshops for vulnerable youth, and promote environmental awareness. 🧠 You will receive training in psychological first aid, 🎵 sound therapy using gongs and Tibetan bowls, and non-formal education tools like BuddyBand®. 🤝 Activities also include supporting food banks, fundraising through meaningful crafts, and optional work with minors in detention centers. ✨ This experience combines intercultural learning, community engagement, and skill development to help you grow while making a positive impact. ❕Mandatory form: 🔗https://forms.gle/BQe4REcF6aM2Dhe18 ‼️Applicantions that ignore the above form will be disregarded

⏳ You'll receive monthly food allowance and pocket money (according to ESC funding rules) to cater your own meals or depending on your group preference we can also arrange catered food. ❇️ For activities beyond walking distance we cover public transport expenses or provide transportation means. ❇️ Accommodation, a kitchen and bathrooms, are shared between you and your fellow volunteers. Based on availability and gender you will be maximum two international volunteers sharing the same room. The apartment is close to reliable public transport options and walking distance to the city center. ❇️

Our team will guide you in designing activities, ensuring a meaningful and engaging volunteering experience. ❇️ Help steward for the environment while engaging in nature conservation and education, river cleaning ❇️ Create events that promote social, physical, mental well-being for youth and the community ❇️ Collaborate with international and local volunteers to support other youth. ❇️ Encounter diverse backgrounds, make international friends ⛰️ Embrace the outdoors, enjoy rural or mountain trips when the weather permits it. We are looking for motivated young people (18–30) who want to learn, take initiative, and contribute to community projects. You should be open-minded, flexible, patient, and interested in youth work, inclusion, and sustainability. Good communication skills and basic English are required. ✨ Preferred skills (not mandatory): 🎵 music | 🌱 gardening | 🏀 sports | 🎨 handcrafts & art | 💃 dance | 🥗 vegan cooking | 📱 social media | ✍ creative writing | 🎥 multimedia | 📢 campaign promotion & event organization 📌 Main activities: 60% 👨👩👧👦 Youth workshops & events (ages 5–30) 10% 🌻 Gardening & planting (weather-dependent) 10% 🎨 Social media, graphic design, creative writing 10% 🧘 Self-study, journaling, NGO tasks 10% 🏞️ Eco-activities: river cleanups, STEAM workshops, eco-trips 💡 Volunteers are encouraged to propose and coordinate their own activities, with guidance from mentors. ⚠️ Important: We currently accept only participants who can travel to Romania without requiring a visa, as visa costs are not reimbursed and processing times are too long.
