Description
ProAtlântico works in partnership with several organizations from the community. So, the volunteer will collaborate directly with the target groups of the partner organizations. Volunteer can work: - in a foster home (with youngsters from different ages that were taken from their families) - organizing activities & supporting in daily routines of the house - in a school – supporting the educators/ teachers, developing activities - in a senior daily center – organizing activities for elderly, supporting at food bank - with disabled people – making activities & supporting in daily routines (for eg. meals) - in a center for migrants and refugees – developing activities to support their integration in local community The volunteer will not be involved in all these activities, it will depend of the motivation of the volunteer & the need of volunteers in each activity along the project. Volunteer will also join activities to promote European Solidarity Corps & Erasmus +.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
ProAtlântico will provide €5 to cover costs of food and extra expenses during non-working time. During working time the receiving organization provides suitable meal in the organization’s facilities, which is based on a Mediterranean diet. ProAtlântico provides accommodation in an apartment, University residence, hostel, hosting family in multiple bedroom with fully equipped kitchen, toilet and living room - electricity, water, gas, TV and Internet are covered by the project. The volunteers will have towels and bed clothes. A monthly local transport allowance is provided by the RO.

Participant profile
The profile of the volunteer will have general requirements: proactive, motivated to work in a social housing environment, with sense of responsibility, like to work in a team, flexible, with handwork skills, with communication ability, mature to work with social and economic disadvantaged community. A high motivation to work with vulnerable people and special interest on music, dance, theatre, sports, cooking, computers, handicrafts, gardening, history, photography, arts, can be an added value, since these areas their fields of interest and will be the way to reach their attention.
