La Voix de l’Enfant Rural (The Voice of the Rural Child) is a non-profit association based in Médenine, Tunisia. Founded in 2011, the association is dedicated to the protection, education, and empowerment of children and youth, especially in rural areas. PROJECT OBJECTIVES: - Foster the personal and civic engagement of youth in rural areas. - Promote creative media and radio as tools for youth expression. - Encourage intercultural exchange and dialogue. - Raise awareness on children's rights, citizenship, and volunteering. MAIN ACTIVITIES: - Support the production of radio shows and podcasts with local youth. - Participate in awareness campaigns on children’s rights and civic responsibility. - Organize and lead workshops on creative arts, media, or mobility’s topics. - Assist with the communication and promotion of association activities (social media, photography, reporting). - Support youth initiatives and intercultural events
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
WORKING CONDITIONS: - Accommodation in a volunteer apartment . - Pocket money and food allowance provided. - Internet access and workspace at the association’s office. - Weekends off + 2 days off/month
Training during the activity
LEARNING OUTCOMES: - Develop skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership. - Gain experience in project coordination and media production. - Intercultural learning and language skills. - Increased awareness of global and local challenges.
Participant profile
VOLUNTEER PROFILE. We are looking for motivated young people aged 18–30, with an interest in: - Youth work and non-formal education - Media production (radio, video, photography) - Communication and social media - Children’s rights, and civic engagement No specific qualifications are required, but knowledge of French or English is an asset.
